Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what happens to your data when you use TWClipper (twclipper.com). We built the tool to work without accounts, so there is very little personal data involved — but we still want to be precise about what is collected.

What we do not collect

TWClipper does not require registration, so we do not collect your name, email, or password to use the downloader. We do not store the X post links you paste, and we do not keep copies of the videos, photos, or GIFs you download. Once your file has been streamed to your device, the request is discarded.

What is processed automatically

To resolve a download, the post link you paste is sent from your browser to our server, which requests the media from X’s public syndication service on your behalf. This is necessary because browsers block these cross-origin requests directly. Therefore, the link itself passes through our server in transit but is not logged or stored in a database.

Server logs

Like most web hosts, our infrastructure provider (Hostinger) may keep short-term technical logs of requests, such as IP address, timestamp, and browser type, for security and abuse-prevention purposes. These logs are not used for advertising or sold to third parties.

Cookies and analytics

TWClipper may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic (for example, how many people visit a page). Additionally, a small local-storage flag remembers your light/dark theme preference on this device only; it is never transmitted to our server. If we add advertising in the future, this policy will be updated in advance, and any ad network cookies will be disclosed here.

Third-party services

Downloads are sourced from X’s own media delivery domains (twimg.com). We do not route your download through any third-party proxy services. As a result, the file you download comes directly from X’s servers to your device, through our server as a pass-through only.

Your rights

Because we do not maintain user accounts or stored personal profiles, there is generally no personal data of yours for us to export or delete. If you believe we hold any data about you and want it removed, email us and we will investigate and respond within a reasonable time.

Children’s privacy

TWClipper is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the tool evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

Key takeaways
  • No account or password is required, and none is collected.
  • Downloaded files are streamed to you and not stored on our servers.
  • Basic technical logs may be kept briefly for security, not advertising.
  • No public CORS proxies are used; media comes directly from X’s own domains.
